Happy Birthday, Sarah!

Sarah's birthday was on May 28th, and we celebrated with her favorite 7-layer dip 'n chips, as well as her favorite dark-chocolate covered pretzels! Hope it was a good birthday, Sarah!

Sarah Stars in Hamlet!

Tonight was the final production for CSW Shakespeare Ensemble's Hamlet, which featured Sarah's acting talents and lights by Jenny. The production was terrific--and unique, as Hamlet was played by two students at the same time. Really fabulous. And Sarah was just about the coolest grave-digger ever. EVER.

Today is Beechna's birthday, and we celebrated on Tuesday with frozen fruit sorbets and the birthday song!

Fire & Ice

The end of the year draws near, and one of our traditions is to venture out to dinner as an entire dorm. This year, we went to Fire and Ice, which is a whole experience in itself...you get to choose your own raw components and then watch them cook it all right in front of you. It was so much fun to just relax together! Afterward, we took a few swings at the pinata left over from our Fiesta dinner last week!

Each dorm is responsible for planning, decorating, and hosting one community dinner each year, and this year Emily and Courtney took the lead in organizing our Fiesta! themed dinner, which we hosted last Monday. Everyone pitched in, and it was a great success!

Shakespeare Masquerade Ball

Last night was the Shakespeare Dance, and this year's theme was a masquerade ball!

Happy Birthday, Tai!

Yesterday was Tai's birthday and it was also our celebratory ice cream party...our reward for winning Fractured Fairytales at the opening all-boarders' weekend. Sadly, I missed getting a video of the birthday song (sorry, Tai!) but here are some pictures of the ice cream...and some box-ing...surely sugar induced...

Carousel

Several of the girls in the dorm were involved with the spring musical, Carousel, which went up Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week. They were such stars! Kandice and Jenny were on stage; Gyoungheui did set design; Amy, Jane, Gyoungheui, and Niko were all in the pit band. It was the first time we've had a pit band and they were GOOD! Congrats to all--you were AMAZING!

We celebrated Briana's sweet 16 with some sweet klondike bars last night! Happy Birthday, Briana!!

Boarders' Weekend

We started with a hypnotist and ice cream sundae bar on Friday night, and today we played twister, jenga, poker, fruit poker, pictionary, guesstures, and balloon pop tag....followed by a boarding town meeting, where the boarding community voted to institute a family style dinner program next year. YAY CSW FAMILY!
